The rule book, edition by edition

Every NCAA football rule book since 2000 against the one before it: the articles it added, changed and removed. Each season’s page lists them by rule.

The dataset has no book for 2010, 2014, 2017, 2024 or 2025, so the following book’s changes took effect in one of the seasons since the book before it. A change one book makes and the next undoes is left out as a garbled file, not a rule change. Only the first sentence of each article is compared, so a change deeper in an article (most penalty clauses, the overtime procedure) doesn’t show here, and a change that shows may be rewording. No rule text is kept: only numbers and headings. Rule books: NCAA, via Pierce’s provision dataset (Zenodo, CC BY 4.0).
