A little of the glamor has been washed off this years finale by Columbia’s defeat of the Cadets ended a 32-game unbeaten- streak for the West Pointers and Army’s scoreless tie with Illinois. Notre Dame moves into the contest as the No. l team of the nation, unbeaten and united, and still ranking from the $50 and 48–0 shellackings of 1914 and AS. Last year the two hammer ed it out in an 90 tie but this looks like Notre Danes year.
