  MISSISSIPPI WINS FROM THE ALABAMA TEAM EASILY sissippis 10-yard line and returned 40 yards. Lee, Haxton and Shields made nice gains, but the quarter ended with out further scoring. In the fourth Alabama failed to gain and Moody punted. Powe and Lee netted IS yards and the ball went over on an illegal forward pass. Alabama again failed to shake Missis- sippis line and punted. Walton returned 12, Lee hit the line for seven and Powe circled right end for 12 Lee took two and Mitchell went 10 for touchdown after five minutes play. Trotter kicked goal. Score: Mississippi 16. Alabama 0. In the remaining minutes Mississippi came close, but Alabama always checked the rush in time. The game ended with Alabama holding the ball on her 36- yard line. For Alabama Moody’s punt ing. A. Vandergraffs end runs and the playing of Baumgartner. Barnett and V. Hurd were features. For Mississippi, Lee and Shields covered most ground and Trotter, Kinnebrew, Carter, Walton and Colln did excellent tackling.
