  MISSOURI SHOWS Up WELL. Defeat Simpson College by Score Of 26 to Q. Columbia, No. Oct. Missouri battIed against the Simpson college team on Rollins field Friday afternoon and won by a score of 26 to O.. Simpson was outclassed from the start. 1t made first down only once during the game and gained a total of less than thirty yards. It had the ball but once in the second half. The Missouri team showed great improvement over its work in the Kirksville game week ago. The Missouri linemen piled up the Simpson backs on the line of scrimmage almost every time they tried to come through At each snap of the ban the Tigers got the jump on their opponents. The Missouri team could have doubled the score had Coach Nc Lean kept the regulars in throughout the game After the first touchdown he began to substitute rapidly and used twenty-four men during the game Eleven men were tried out in the back field. and from their work it is certain that Missouri has excellent material for this department of the game me length of the halves was very short, the first half being twenty minutes ana the second fifteen.
