  POOR OLD MISSOURI Allowed Simpson to Defeat Her by a IL TO o Score. Columbia, Mo-. Oct. 24.-Eimpson defeated Missouri Friday, IL to 0. The game was much closer than the score indicates, as Missouri gained PAL yards during the game and Simpson 270. Time was called in the first half when Missouri, had the ball on the first down on Simpsons ten-yard line. At the kickoff in the second half Missouri, fumbled, giving Simpson the ball on Missouri’s twenty yard line and Simpson carried the ball over. The other touchdown was made on a delayed pass, Coe max ng a run of sixty five yards, being tackled from behind on the three yard line by Izzy Anderson. From this point Simpson carried the ball over for a second touchdown. MISsouri’s weakness was in her line. The little help from the linesmen. The first half was evenly contested neither team scoring, though 1t is thought that with a minute more to play Missouri could have carried the ball over, as she was playing together in great shape at the time. Missouri’s work was erratic. At times the team played snappy and hard. but at other times it played listlessIy. High tackling is still a feature of the Tigers playing. Some of the individual work was fine. Izzy Anderson, Coons. Anamosa and Birney did the best work Simpson has a fine team. It is fast and probably outweighs the Tigers eight or ten pounds to a man. She is probably stronger than either Drake or GrinnelL
