Chilled Throng Sees .Cecconi Star as Pitt Beats Penn State, 1910 PITTSBURGH. Nov. 19--Lou Cecconi, little Pitt halfback, wound up his college football career in q blaze Of glory today as he led the Panthers to q 1870 conquest Of traditional rival Penn State. He scored twice and pitched a pass for the third touchdown. A chilled crowd Of 44,671 huddled under blankets as intermittent snow squalls and freezing rains alternately pelted them. Pitt assumed command at the start. In the first quarter, Quarterback Carl DePasqua lateralled to Cecconi who galloped IS yards for the score. Nick Bolkovac missed the point. In the third period. DePasqua passed to Halfback Paul Chess, who ran So yards to the State eight. Cecconi slanted of his own right tackle on the first play for the score. Bolkovac kicked the point. State was a beaten team as the fourth quarter opened, but kept trying. They moved as far as the Pitt AZ but tumble turned into another Pitt scoring play. Cecconi faded back and threw a long arching aerial which Jimmy Joe Robinson caught behind the State defenders. Jimmy Joe, who has been out Of action with an injured leg since the Penn game, gave no evidence there was any, thing wrong with him as he streaked So yards to a touchdown. In statistics, the game was a lot closer than the final score in dicated. The first downs favored Pitt II to 10 and the rushing statistics showed only a slight advantage for the Panthers.
