Noting that the free substitution rule, which has brought about the two-unit system, was running games 15 to 25 minutes longer than usual, Anderson is in favor of the ol6 substitution provision. He told the Herald-American quarterback club yesterday that he suspected some defensive players feel sighted when all the glory goes to the offensive unit. Maybe they don’t try to look too good defensively.” he suggested. Anderson said Minnesota quite oonceivably could beat Notre Dame ,’on real, good day. Iowa was trounced by Minnesota, 55–7, on Nov. 5, and lost 28–7 to Notre Dame last Saturday.
