The 1So-pound halfback-a comparative midget running behind the big Gopher line-raced over for two touchdowns and passed for a third. Bye slanted off tackle from 5 yards out in the second period for the first Minnesota touchdown. He ran 20 yards later in the same stanza for another to run Minnesota’s lead to 40 at the half. Then the stubborn Pitt Pan thers threatened to make things interesting In the last half by unfurling a passing attack for a touchdown. But Bye returned to the game and tipped a perfect mass to Quarterback Jim Malosky for the score which put the game safely beyond Pitts reach. The final Minnesota points came an a 15-yard field goal by End Gordon Soltau in the fading min utes Of the game. This boot made : perfect kicking day for the big end as he also spun placements through the uprights after each touchdown. Halfback Louis (Bimbo) Geo
