The llne. up was as follows: DID WE’LL. BOwdoin Made Good Showing Against Harvard. Cambridge, Mass, October 6.-Harvard won from Bowdoin in the football game on Soldiers field. this afternoon by a score of IL to 0. Only the poor physical condition OF the Bowdoin team. however, allowed Harvard to score. The Harvard defense was no better than in previous games this year and had Bowdoin been able to keep up fierce attack on the Harvard line for any length of time, the game would have been much closer. Lee, the big Harvard left guard, was out of the game on account of injuries and his substitutes, HolIingsw orth and Carroll, were very weak on the defensive. Bow doin’s mass plays were especially effect I’ve. Both teams punted frequently. For Harvard, Herman and Ellis were cratic in kicking and only the fast work OF the Harvard ends’saYed them from being out punted by Upton, the Bowdoin- full back. Ellis played fan back for Harvard for the first time ehis year. His line bucking was disappointing, as he ran high ana did not gain as we’ll as Graydon, who played full back during the first half. Kendall ran well with the ball and made several long gains, but missed two easy tackles. Captain DAILY played through the first half but got a bad cut in the face and gave way to Fincke in the second. For BoWdoin, Marshall and Gregson played the best game. On the kickoff, Pratt Of BoWdoin, made 20 yards through the Harvard line with good interference BoWdoin gained steadily for few plays, but finally lost
