  PENN STATE BEATS. 100 Touchdown and Placement Goal Margin of Victory on Soggy Gridiron. PHILADELPHIA, November L. After playing whirlwind game all season and piling up more points than versity of Pennsylvania went down to defeat today before the wonderful eleven of Pennsylvania State College by the score of 10 to o. Rain fell throughout the game. The playing field was soggy and the ball slippery Pennsylvania started out as though her steam-roIler would crush the State College boys, but after outplaying the visitors and failing to score after at least two excellent opportunities in the first period, had a reversal of form. After that, with one exception, States goal line was never in serious danger. Thrills in Second Period. Most of the thrills came in the sec ond period. Way, for State, dropped long punt. Pennsylvania securing the ball on States ten-yard line. States defense stiffened, however, and Penn sylvania lost the ball on downs. A few minutes later Drummer, for Pennsylvania. failed to hold punt and one of States men slid over the Quaker goal line. The referee, now ever. declared the ball dead three wards from the line. Pennsylvania made desperate effort to prevent score. but State managed to push the bali across on her last try.
