Khalid Bueno left Philadelphia with school tackle records. At Stony Brook, he is giving opposing offenses another reason to remember his name.
The Martin Luther King High School graduate recorded three sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble in Stony Brook’s 31–24 win at Towson on October 10. The two schools’ reports agree on that defensive line.
Stony Brook’s biography credits Bueno with 314 career tackles at MLK. By its October 12 report, the redshirt freshman had 10.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss for the season, leading the FCS in both categories at that point. Those totals describe the week of the Towson win, not a permanent ranking. His next play starts where this story does: with a Philadelphia defender working his way into the backfield.
