PENN STARTS RIGHT Albright Eleven is Buried Beneath Overwhelming Defeat, Score 73 to 10-Winners Show Fine Form. Philadelphia, Pa., Oct. 1.-The bright college yesterday afternoon on Franklin field in their opening con- test of the season by a score of 73 to 10. The Red and Blue displayed .a formidable attack and a stone wall defence which was surprising, as only five regulars were in the initial lineup which started the battle against Coach Kelshner’s squad, and the eleven had worked together only four days under the personal direction of Head Coach Bob” Folwen. The boys from Mayerstown were no match for the Penn team. Penn blocked kicks, recovered fumbles, intercepted for ward passes and did almost everything to discourage the visitors attempting to thwart their efforts. The game was good practice contest for the first string men as well as the sub stitutes in preparation for the sec ond battle of the season with Georgia Tech this Saturady at Atlantic, Ga Only when a flock of substitutes were sent into the game by Coach Folwell did Albright show any sem blance of real football tactics. AL bright’s men were game throughout and they fought hard, although hope lessly outclassed. It was in the sec- ond and fourth periods that Albright took advantage of the misplays by the flock of Penn’s second string men and scored ten points.
