SAWYER IS STAR Broken Field Running Features Princeton iIIanOva Game. THE SCORE is 81 TO o Villanova at No Time Dangerous to Tigers and Makes But Two First Downs. PRINCETON, \. j.. October Al though handicapped somewhat by a wet field. Princeton managed to roll up total of 81 points against Villa Nova this afternoon, while the best the visitors could do was to make two first downs. Sawyer was the star of the game, and seldom has better open field running been seen at Princeton. He used straight arm to perfection and was indirectly responsible for all Of Princetons touchdowns, making two of them himself. Both elevens stuck to the open game and the forward pass was tried repeatedly by the teams. villa Nova made her only long gain by means of the forward pass. while Waller made touchdown for Princeton after recovering pass from Penfield. With this one exception the passing game was worked with little success by the Tigers The Princeton line was still weak in spots, but Improvement was shown over former games. especially after White returned to the play. Villa Nova was at no time danger Gus, and was fortunate to escape with the score as low as it was. Tor late away for one of his usual long runs, and had flashed across the goal line after a run of so yards only to be recalled because OF a penalty enforced on the Princeton team. The lineup:
