  IOWA Fl. MISSOURI 9. The Eleven From Columbia Outplayed Except at Punting. Iowa City, Ia, Oct. 21.-Iowa defeated Missouri Saturday afternoon FL to 6. The Hawkeyes outplayed their opponents at nearly all points except punting. The first half was a real battle. owing to the visitors SUI periority in that department of the game. The first half was to o. In the second half Missouri braced for a few minutes and used Miller and Graves effectively in smashing line bucks and plays off tackle. Both teams tried the forward pass. but it gen. orally failed to make gains, although Missouri worked the trick twice for a, few yards. Crane made twenty yard end run, but aside from smashes by Graves and Miller during Missouri’s one fierce revival for five min utes the visitors rarely made a first down. For Iowa almost every man made gains by smashing line plays, especially in the last ten minutes of play. when the Hawkeyes galloped away from the weakened Tigers. get ting three touchdowns.
