CIV Coaches Strive To Improve lacking And Passing Attack George Washington’s football team skipped it’s usual outdoor practice yesterday, and instead was given light workout in the gym and then taken to the movies. The movies were of last Saturdays game at West Virginia in which the Colonials were beaten, 24–0. 1t wasn’t too pleasant a session for the players, who had to watch while their various errors were flashed before them with comment by the coaches. Particular attenton was paid to poor tackling and to the passing attack, which in recent weeks hasn’t been as effective as it should be. The Colonials have three good pass catchers in Richie Gaskell and Jacy Daily, both ends, and Halfback Bino Barreira. But the Ithrowers are getting the ball away late and inaccurately. The injury situation may be bet ter at CIV in the game against Bucknell Friday night at Griffith Stadium. Halfback Len Ciem. Inieckj and Guard Frank Cont Inetti both were running around the gym yesterday and report they’ll be in shape after resting last week. Tackle Tom Flyzik, who had tt be helped off the field at West Virginia with another knee injury isn’t in as bad shape as was feareG at first, and the same goes fol Tackle Steve Korcheck, the de. fensive standout for CIV last week who received a sprained ankle.
