Wilhelm, Chadwick and Olcott made long gains through the line, but they were never clear of tacklers, main strength alone enabling the Yale team to make gains. SATURDAYS FOOTBALL GAMES. Yale Won a Hard Fought Game From the Penn State Team. 1ale Won Hard Fought Game From the Penn State Team. Yale met a tough proposition when she faced the Penn State college team at the Yale field Saturday afternoon. The local team won by the score of 22 to 0, but the figures do not in the least indicate the character of the game played. Yale was put on the defen- sive most of the second half and failed to gain the necessary five yards four times during the playing period. The Penn State men would certainly have pushed the ball over the line but for the incessant fumbling of her backs. Summaries: Touchdowns-Wilhe l, Olcott 1, Hart 1, Chadwick Goals Olcott ?.
