Colorado Tops Kansas State For Third Big Seven Victory MANHATTAN, Kans., Oct. 20. - Colorado’s Golden Buffaloes clipped off a short range touch down in each of the first three quarters to beat a dogged Kansas State football team, 20–7, for their third straight Big Seven Victory today. All three Colorado touchdowns were of a yard or less as Kansas State bottled up the fleet little Woody Shelton, Colorado jack rabbit halfback, for most of the afternoon. Quarterback Roger Williams scored the first two Colorado touchdowns and made the first two of his sthree conversion at tempts. Merwin Hodel. fullback. counted the third period score from the one-foot mark after a Kansas State tumble had set up the score. Just before the first half ended, Kansas States quarterback, Lane Brown, whipped a pass to End Francis Starns who caught the ball on his own 35 and went all the way as Jim Lininger and Dick Damiani threw classy downfield ! blocks.
