  Mustangs Walker Blasts Arkansas DALLAS, Tex, Nov. Ia Doak Walker blasted Arkansas into a 34–⁠6 defeat today as Southern Methodist clung to a bare chance of the Southwest Conference football champion ship. Walker scored three touch downs and passed for another in a typical show. He also booted three extra points. A crowd of $4,000 roared approval of the All-America’s s mighty play. Second-stringers made the final Southern Methodist counter against a hard fighting, but sometimes confused Arkansas team. The Methodists stormed to 240 yards on the ground and 1T passing to thoroughly pull verize the Razorbacks. Southern Methodist’s victory today not only kept the Mus tangs in the conference race, but famed their bowl ambitions high.
