Salem, former high school star here, broke the Tech defense with Ia 28-yard gallop In the third period which led to ‘Bama’s first score. He made the touchdown q few seconds later from S yards out. He also scored the clincher, late in the final period. on a 3-yard plunge. Until Salem broke away in the third period. Tech generally held the upper hand. The invaders scored in the second period on q 31-yard pass from Buster Hum phreys to End Dick Harvin, who made great Jump and catch in the end zone.
