DeWer’s Etcheverry Is Very Large Worry to Hoya Coach a three-game winning streak. over Utah COBB. Brigham Young (35–0 and Arizona CLIO before losing last week to st. Mary’s. Denver was guilty of two fumbles and had a pass intercepted early In the first quarter and the Gaels turned each miscue into a touchdown and won, 41–21. The Hoyas leave Friday morning and face a six-hour plane ride. The mountain air will be a dis advantage but the Hoyas hope to combat 1t somewhat with oxygen tanks. which will afford the play ers temporary relief. Georgetown’s victories over Boston College. Holy Cross and Wake Forest. in addition to N. Y. u. give the school enough pres tige to attract at least $4,000, &C. cording to word from Denver. The team will make the return trip by plane Sunday morning. Margarita has resained Bill Resch. who was hurt shortly after he caught the winning touchdown pass against Wake Forest. And for the first time since the Holy Cross game Johnny Kivus will be used as a ball carrier. He has been playing strictly on defense. Despite Villanova’s obvious edge in material. Margarita was dis appointed in the 29–14 defeat at the hands of Wildcats, although he liked Georgetown’s comeback in the second half. The Hoya coach would like to lose that in jury jinx for just one week. so his team would be in fair shape for the George Washington game a week from Saturday. After this long trip and a game against a team as good as Denver we’ll be lucky to have enough strength to reach the line of scrimmage against G. w.” Margarita said with wink. i’m plying that Bo Rowland. G. W.’s coach and master wit. would have a tough time matching that remark.
