  PENN MAKES A LARGE SCORE STATE COLLEGE EASILY BEATEN AT PHILADET.- PTIGA. Philadelphia. Nov l. (SpecaD.-The football team from the Pennsylvania State College was no match at all for the University Of Pennsylvania players to-day The Quakers won by a score OF g. to O. After weeks rest, with little practice, the Penn sylvanians put up fairly good game but their real strength was not tested. The big men, Hare and McCracken. and others had no trouble in max ing holes in the State College line. Touchdown after touchdown followed each other in quick sue cession Both teams fumbled badly. but Pennsylvania was quick 10 take advantage Of her opponents mistakes than was the State College. Penn started in the game with somewhat new order Of lineup. Woodey. the quarterback was injured in practice and Kennedy halfback was shifted 10 quarter John Gardiner. who played quarterback last year ard who has also played that position this year put in at half in place Of Kennedy In the second half State College took brace in its attack and made good gains through the PENNSYLVANIA line. Cure got the ball on Coombs’s punt and hit Penn’s line for four yards.
