COLUMBIA OVER WISCONSIN; FORDHAM TO REPEL PURDUE In intersectional parties. Colum- bia should get back on the right track against Wisconsin at Baker Field, Fordham has too much man. power for Purdue in New York, where Manhattan should finish with an edge on Marquette. Mississippi will have things it’s own way against Holy Cross in Wor- cester, and the same thing goes for Missouri in its joust with Colorado in Boulder, and South Carolina in its scrap with Kansas State in Co., lumbia, s. c. Duquesne may prove little too well balance for Saint Mary’s in Say Francisco on Sunday, Nov. 10. Alabama has fine chance to get even in Birmingham for last falls 13–0 reverse at the hands of Tulane, and Clemson has sufficient class to get going again at Auburn. There is no good reason to sus- pect that Georgia Tech can’t re- peat its last seasons victory over Kentucky in Louisville. or that Mis- sissippi State can’t again repulse Louisiana State in Baton Rouge. That also appears to be true in the cases of Georgia against Flori- da fin Jacksonville, Virginia against Washington and Lee at University. Wake Forest against North Caro- lima State in Raleigh, and even more so as Duke keeps an appoint ment with Davidson in Durham. Southwestern will see a lot Of football as Tennessee visits Mem phis. In the Rocky Mountain area, Brigham Young Is figured 10 turn back Denver ln Provo. Utah State seems to have slight jump on Colorado State at Fort Collins. and Utah has a bulge on Wyoming in Laramie.
