  FOOTBALL SCORES. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Oct Harvard defeated Williams this afternoon by only II points. AS it is the first football game of the season, the score is very unsatisfactory, and the eleven will have to improve considerably to get into varsity form. Harvard’s great weakness was in the line at the three CEN tral places and at right end. PHILAD ELPHIA, Oct. 1.-The University OF pennsylvania football eleven defeated State college this afternoon on Franklin field by the score of 40 to 0.
