YALE’S NEW GAME SWAMPS VERMONT Shows a Brand of Deceptive Foot Ball in Winning by SO to O. BY The ASSOCIATED Press. NEW HAVEN, Conn, october S. Smothering University of Vermont, Yale opened its season in the bowl this afternoon with an 89-to-0 victory. Yale kept its first team on the field not much more than a period, sending in substitutes until practically every man on the bench saw action. Yale played new brand of effective and diversified foot ball and out classed the Termonters. Able Booth, the 140-pound halfback in his first game of varsity ball was the star. His dazzling running and kicking featuring Yale’s attack and fl’I drop-kicks after touchdowns added to his two touchdowns made him high scorer with II points. me aud
