SEWANEE BEATS OLE MISS CLAN Tigers Perform In Great Style, Winning 21 To o MEMPHIS, Tenn, Nov. S.-Mud. a slippery field and the University of Mississippi line and secondary defense failed to stop the fast and clever Sewanee backs in a football game at Rushwood park here today. When the final whistle blew the score stood 21 to 0 for the Tigers. Ole Miss had little to show either of offense or defense. They failed to make a single first down during the game but managed to lessen the score by a stubborn defense Mississippi had three opportunities to score as a result of fumbles, but line drives, attempted placement kicks and passes were all in vain. .3 The Tiger backfield composed of Gib- bons, Powers, MRhoney and Harris worked with neatness and precision. Helyey and Sanders, two converted fuilbacks, played at tackle, were pow CTS in the Sewanee line. Sewanee scored twice in the second period as the result of strong running attack, combined with skillful passes and added another touchdown in the third quarter.
