Pittsburg Beats Penn State By Score Of 2O-3 PITTsBURG, Pa, Nov. 29--One of the outstanding upsets of the 1923 football season was recorded at Forbes field today, when the Uni versity of Pittsburg machine, un- der the guiding hand of Pop” War ner, swamped the strong Penn State eleven, 20 to 8. The gridiron was extremely muddy, but Pitt uncorked an aerial assault which State could not solve. State registered only six first downs. The most spectacular play of the game came in the second quarter. Wilson, the State star, but who was unable to get going against Pitt, tried a forward. Bohren leaped into the air, grabbed the pass and 70 yards for a touchdown. Gwosden again kicked the goal.
