TENNESSEE FAKES BEAT TULANE l3–2 KNOXVILLE. Tenn, Nov. s.-A fake pass format ton by Tennessee proved more successful than Tulane’s varied shift plays and Tennessee defeated the Louisiana institution here today, 13 to 2. Frequent altercations marked the first half of the game. Neff of Tennessee and Roehl of Tulane were sent to the side lines for slugging at the beginning the second period. Penalties were literally bestowed throughout the game. The Greenbacks’@ only score came early in the fint period. when Brown. Tennessee’s fullback. was downed be- hind his own goal for a safety. The Louisianians’ highly praised aerial attack failed to be displayed. Tennessee’s first touchdown came on fake pass formation. Sneed rum hing the ball 20 yards to Tulanes goal without interruption. Tennessee recovered a tumble on their aa-yard line in the last period and began a march down the field for the final touchdown. Powell’s attempt to make the extra point was blocked.
