Numerous penalties and fumbles by the Pitt team held dokn the score. A feature OF the game was q c. yard run by Hewitt Of Pitt In the third period, when he intercepted forward pass and went over for q touchdown. Hewitt scored again in the last period after series OF line plunges. The Panthers scored their first touchdown in the second period on double pass from Williams to Shuler. Cincinnati forged ahead In the third period, when Schierloh received blocked kick on the 12-yard line and scored. The next score by the Ohio eleven was made on an unusual play. Pitt was penaIized 30 yards on the kick OF because Of an illegal substitution. Fran. kicked over the goal; Meyers fell on the pigskin for touchdown.
