as University of Michigan’s 33-todefeat of Case. Qe1eat OF case. 1t is said that cost of materials for eQuipping foot ball and other athletic teams is bound to take another big jump before long. If that happens the War Department is not likely to have to bother about any further restrictions on athletics. The present high prices already are restricting sports. and another rise will just about abolish them. A big chap who is student at Maryland State was asked by another student why he did not go out for foot ball. The big fellow replied: I’D like to. but foot ball is too dangerous and rough a game” That chap did not understand the roar of laughter that went around until he happened to realize that he was a soldier in training for a COM mission in the Army.
