Two weeks ago Florida was beating Ole Miss in the Swamp. Today South Carolina came to Gainesville for the Gators’ homecoming and won 38–19.

LaNorris Sellers was the whole story. He went 23 of 35 for 279 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions, then ran one in himself. ESPN’s word for him was “embattled.” Four touchdown passes is a pretty good answer. He even got into a sideline spat right before throwing a touchdown, which honestly just makes it better.

Florida? Aaron Philo threw for 227 yards and Bailey Stockton had 127 receiving yards and a touchdown, but two interceptions and a run game that never got going (Jadan Baugh: 15 carries, 59 yards) won’t beat anybody in the SEC.

A week ago Florida was 4–0 and ranked eighth. Now it’s two straight losses for Jon Sumrall, outscored 83–36 across them. Next up is a trip to Texas, so Florida has to figure out who it is, fast.
