.YALE-HARVARD GAME IS sure TO BE ROYAL SCRAP Bulldogs Attack Against Prince ton Revealed Unexpected Strength HARVARD’S SHOWING PUZZLING EXPERTS Do Doubt That Title Tilt viii be Same Old Battle For Blood NEW YORK. Nov. 16.-Professors OF physics. since the world began, have been trying to figure waat would happen il an irresistible force ever bumped full tilt into something I’M movable. IL the Harvard juggernaut and the Yale avalanche play true TO dope next Saturday. they’ll furnish the proof with even q better sight. Ii should be a picture OF two rresistible forces in head-on collision. Yale is represented by the greatest scoring machine IL has had In mod ern football history. Ditto. Harvard. The only difference Is that one blasts its way through an opposing defense with the power Of lyddite. The other resembles an explosion of turpinite. Which thought brings the logical suggestion TO the opposing general staffs OF the allies and the Germans. that next Saturdays conflict In Yales monster new bowl at New Haven worthy OF their closest attention. Going solely on the dope Yale appears to be as good as Harvard. and vice versa, In the matter Of attack Taking the showing Of each against Princeton, here’s the way 1t looks TO q neutral: Harvard reached her objective through the Tiger defense by means of q Observation-Disclosures advance that was as regular and steady as the procession OF a naval observatory o clock hands In their daily trip from II to 12. Yale achieved her destination via an attack that was brilliantly versatile and startingly spectacular, al belt the Blue route was as studious as that Of the Crimson, and as GER tain. To put II another way. Harvard trimphed via the ground route; Yale used the air with her slashing unsolved system of double. triple, quad ruple and forward passes. That score Of Ia points rolled up by Princeton In the final period doesn’t worry Coach Hinkey. Of Yale. II was made after almost an entire new team OF second string men had replaced the regulars. Neither do 70 the fact that Princeton’s second touch down was made through the regulars who were returned to the game. They had been sitting In the cold on the side lines and were stale. IL any thing, Hinkey regards himself par ticulariy fortunate for the Crimson tide that will sweep down on Yale next Saturday, probably will remem- Der only the fact that Princeton scored two touchdowns against Yale and none against Harvard, with the result that the Crimson men may underestimate the Yale strength. Atmospheric conditions in the vicinity OF Pennsylvania are reported TO be deep indigo blue. II looks like a Cornell year In the little matter Of the annual Thanksgiving argument The big Red teams showing OF 28 TO 13 against Michigan. looks mighty good to Ithacans In view OF the “a to 3 drpbbtng Yosts phalanx handed 20 Pennsylvania week ago Saturday. II may be mentioned In passing that Yale beat Princeton 1914 In 1914.

Nov. l4.-Michlgan’s green forward wall crumbled in the second quarter OF the Wolverines fourth consecutive international clash this after noon and Cornell easily routed the fost men, IS TO 10 Two beautiful forward passes In the first twenty minutes OF play aided by some characteristic line plunglng by Maulbetsch. gave the Yost men IL point lead, but the tide turned a moment after when Quarterback Barrett Of Cornell scooted down the side lines for a sixty = four yard gain in one Of the prett!est pieces Of open field running ever seen on Ferry Field. with the ball in striking distance Phil lippi replaced Hin at full and easily plunged over for the Ithacans’ first touch down. Thereafter the game was all Cor nelrs, although the half ended with the score 10 TO 6 in favor OF the Wolverines. The invaders started with rush in the second half, and Barrett and Philippi collaborated in an attack upon the Michigan line and ends that swept all oppositon before 1t. In six consecutive plays Phillippi gained ffty yards, and while the third period I WAS YET yOuHk went WV ~ ‘‘‘N touchdown. Even then the kickout failed and ghe score was l3 to IL in favor of the wolverines, but the invaders were not to | be denied. Again they marched down ! the field, Phillippi once more carrying the brunt OF the attack and before the period ended the Michigan goal had again been crossed. In the Anal period. after Barrett had kicked a perfect field goal from the &c yard line and tore around the Michigan ends for ten and fifteen yard gains, HI broke through for a fifty yard sprint tC the goal line. 1t was another magnih cent bit OF running. but so exhausted the wonderful field general that he had TO b’ assisted from the grldiron. I As the game was waning Michigan made IA frantic attempt to again score Repeated brilliant bits of Yost strategy such as had baffied Pennsylvania a weel ago went wrong and the fruits of thu third brilliant forward pass OF the game were lost on downs. Using largely the old style Of play, Cor nell outfought, outpunted and outrushe’ the wolverines. Cornell tried elk futll forward passes.
