His efforts were nullified by Capall, however, the little Lehlgh quarter flashing back nearly every time for ten or twenty yards Legore played only part of the time. but while he was in the lineup was the surest in handling the ball and the hardest man to stop. He got away for three long lodging runs. going over for a touchdown or one of the dashes. Scoville played brilliantly for Yae while he was az half He was a big factor in Yales tearing attack in the last two quarters and was the strongest player on the secondary defensive. Club” Sheldon played a fine game at right tackle. breaking through the Lee high line time and again. The Yale ends showed greatly i’m proved form. Higginbotham tackled hard and was fast IN getting down the field, while Tug” Wilson, besides play ing a good defensive game. made the most sensational play of the day when he intercepted one of CahalPs long passes and ran thirty yards. paving the way for lale’s second touchdown. Hoban and Sawtelle, for Lehigh. caught forward passes perfectly and their work handling Cahall’s throws had the Blue all at sea in the first two quarters. Fumbling cost Yale a chance TO advance on the second play. following Lehigh’s kickoff, and Legore had 10 punt. There were numerous exchanges of punts. and after getting the ball on downs. Yale made ten yards on the complicated manPuvre Of a double pass and a forward pass. An intercepted forward pass cost Yale possession Of the ball, and then long forward pass to Sawtelle gave Lehigh the ball on the 18-yard line. A smash at left tackls gave Cahall a perfect opportunity for a field goal and he kicked 1t easily. With a minute to play, Hoban dropped Legore’s punt. HigginbothaIn seemingly interfering fiagrantly’wtf the catch, but going unscathed. and, lie gore made a hasty try for dropikiek, which failed.
