WHILE GEORGIA, VANDY AND AUBURN RANK AS BEST Coach Heisman’s Yellow Jackets threw surprise into the camp of the Crimson warriors of the University of Alabama Saturday when the Tech crew defeated the Crimson aggregation at Tech Flats by score of 21 to 3. Ala bama possessed more weight than Tech. and had as a whole a more experi- enced team, but they were bewildered by the Tech formation and showed themselves unable to anaIysize the op- posing foremost pass plays with any de- gree of success. How ever this result does not indicate that the Auburn lads are weak this sea- son. Florida is a more or less un- known quantity in the football world and their good showing Saturday speaks more for their strength than for Auburns weakness. Students of the game are not loath to admit that Au- burn is to have one of the best squads in the south this season. At present it looks that they are second only to Vanderbilt, with Georgia strong third. When Auburn and Vanderbilt meet in Birmingham on November 23, the fight for the south’s championship will in all probability be decided. Georgia and Vanderbilt Georgia easily defeated Citadel Sat urday by a score of B to 0, thereby evincing their superiority over Tech. as far as comparatively scores are con cerned.
