  MINNESOTA GETS WESTERN TITLE BY DEFEATING CHICAGO IN DEcISIVE MANNER GoPHERs WIN CHAMPIONSHIP OF CON- FERENCE SCHOOLS. Saturdays football offered no sur prises by defeating the University of Chicago team, Minnesota demonstrated its right to the title Of conference champions, but this result was gen orally expected, as Chicago is admit teddy weak this year. True the Gophers have yet to face Wisconsin, OF the conference schools, but the Badgers are no longer feared as in years gone by and there is little possibility OF Minnesota losing.
