Minnesota Again Loses. Wisconsin won another football game with Minnesota on Saturday by a score of 5 to 0. This makes two games played and two defeats for Minnesota this year. The game on Saturday was one of the most stub bornly contested ever played on Northrop field. It was fierce seventy minute struggle, and until the last whistle blew the result of the game was uncertain. The line bucking on both sides was something fearful. It reminded old lovers of the game of the days of the flying wedge and tandem crisscross. Wisconsin came to Min nesota with team that is the best she has had for years. furthermore, she has had record of victories this season that she has not had since the days of Phil King. She came to win. On the other hand, Minnesota has a green team this year. But her men fought-like veterans. Stung by the crushing defeat by Chicago last Saturday, the Gophers made heroic efforts to regain lost prestige. They played with every ounce of strength that was in them. They made mistakes that were costly, but they made the effort Of their lives to win the game. 1t was the scrappiest fight seen on a western gridiron this fall, and great credit is due both teams. It was clean game from whistle to whistle. In former years hard-fought battle between the Gophers and Badgers used to result in all kinds of slugging and tricks that savored of rowdyism. Nothing like this happened in Satur, days game.
