Memphis, Tenn, Nov. 19.--(Speciai.l- Headed by Captain Scarborough. the Sewanee Tigers spent the forenoon here today en route to their mountain home in Middle Tennessee from the plains at Austin, where Texas admin istered a 17–10 defeat Friday. Althought nothing but expressions or individual praise were heard for Cap tain Robinson and the entire Texas team, the Tennesseeans plainly showed disappointment at the result, and 1T their theory pr oves true, It might serve as valuable information for col- lege elevens contemplating future football invasions of the Lone Star we had them beaten” said se- vance players” and finished the hrst half six points to the good against their nothing. Our fellows soon coi- lapsed under the fierce rays of a semi tropical sun, however, and Texas ran over us in the second half. We left home wearing overcoats, but when we reached Austin straw hats were in the height of fashion. From freezing climate. we visited within thirty-six hours climate that wasn’t made for footballlsts from the Tennes- see mountains” No trouble is anticipated in defeat- ing Alabama despite Alabama’s strong showing against Auburn.
