  MICHIGAN FIGHTS AND WINS Tenn from Notre Dame Puts Up q Hard Game, but Finally , Succumbs. TOLEDO, o., Oct. B.-The University Of Michigan foot ball team defeated Notre Dame at Armpry park today by a score OF % to 0, on a soft and slippery ground. Michigan’s showing was a disappointment to her admirers, though with splendid team work and speedy backs and ends she iaI outclassed Notre Dame. Yet the plucky HOLSTERS played hard foot ball and had their better trained antagonists fighting for their lives. Yost’s famous tackle backs by Michigan and line bucking by Notre Dame. During the first half the game was almost even. hut in the second half. toward the close, the Notre Dame line showed the resuits of Michigan’s work.
