  Wisconsin Crushes Marquette, STA, After Early Scare MADISON. Wis. Sept. Is. - A power-packed Wisconsin foot ball team that scored in every quarter swamped Marquette before a shirt-sleeved crowd OF 52,819 in the season opener today. 52–⁠14. The Badgers counted twice in the early stages to lead, 1870 but they saw Marquette snap back spectacularily to take a IA 13 edge. After that, however, the Badgers climbed ahead again and won going away. Halfback Clary Bratt scored three times for the Badgers, get ting the first on a 29-yard pass from Quarterback Jimmy Miller and the others on pitchoutsonce from II yards out and an other time from the 5-yard line.
