  I2O-t3 Victory Avets Worst Season for Wildcats in 80 Years NEW YORK. Nov. 28.-Seniors Gene Filipski and Joe Nc Nicholas teamed up today to give Villanova a 20–⁠13 upset victory over Fordham and thereby avert the worst season in 80 years for the Wildcats. Filtpski, former Army star who has had trouble living up to his last years reputation, scored Villanova’s first two touchdowns. He capped a 22-yard drive the first time his team had the ball by circling right end for Is yards. Then he put the finish ing touches on a 67-yard third period march by plunging one yard to the score that brought the teams even at 1913. But it was McNicholas who took over in the final period. After his team had marched from their 8 to’ Fordham’s q entirely on running plays, McNicholas dropped back and threw perfect strike to Ralph Cecere on the goal line for the winning score.
