  Passes Give ViIIanova Victory Over Xavier PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 81 The slick passing of Charley Nc Guckin and the fleet running of Gene Filipski cayried Villanova to a 21–⁠14 victory over Xavier of Ohio today at Connie Mack Sta dium. Playing all but a few minutes, McGuckin completed 6 of IA passes. two of them going for touchdowns. FilipSki made Viii lanova’s first touchdown on 33yard slash off tackle. He gained 80 yards in 81 carries. Xavier scored first in the sec ond period on a 22-yard pass from Norm Zmyslinski to Bob Judd.
