WORCESTER, Mass, Oct. 81. - Syracuse University’s hard playing team today defeated Holy Cross, 21–0.. It was the third consecutive shutout suffered by the Crusaders. For a time it appeared the $4,000 fans might see a scoreless tie but Pat Stark suddenly broke loose for 40 yards and a touchdown in the third quarter. The play began as a handoff. Stark maneuvered as if to pass and then raced of tackle, reversed his field and scored. Stark tossed a 17-yard pass to Bruce Yancey for the second Syracuse touchdown in the final period and then combined with Bob Leberman for a 48-yard scoring pass. Stark then crossed the detenders by tossing to Leberman for the third extra point. The others were booted by Jim George.
