  CAMBRIDGE, Mass, Oct. 49, Harvard’s football forces roared to a three touchdown lead in the first period today and then fought of Colgate’s last period attempt for q tie score to exc out a 21–⁠20 VIC tory. Playing a fill game for the first time this year, Colgate’s passing star. Dick Lalla, Tipped a 25-yard toss to End Dick Ross in the clos ing furry and Ross stepped over the goal line untouched. The crowd Of $4,000 was tense and silent as Fred Totten prepared for the extra point conversion that would have given the Red Raiders q tie. A mighty Harvard cheer rose as the ball barely missed the upright.
