Great Lakes scored first on Joe Rayls 31-yard end run early in the second quarter. Martin kicked the extra point. Shortly after. the Sailors scored again when Quarterback Junior Arterburn screen-passed to Halfback Claude Taliafero, who sprinted “a yards for a touchdown. In the third quarter Mickey Carter, Fort Knox quarterback, passed 10 yards to End Horace White for the Soldiers only score.
