GAINESVILLE, Fla, Oct. H. Florida’s great defensive team headed by Tackle Charlie Lapradd shook Clemson loose from the ball time after time today and made it surprisingly easy for runners Rick Casares and Buford Long to spearhead Florida to a 54–13 vic tory. Favored at most by one touch down the Florida Gators kept taking the ball away by fumbles. pass interceptions and reeling off touchdown after touchdown. They made two in each of the first two periods, one in the third and three in the last. Only two of Fiorida’s touch downs came on drives started after kick off or punt, and the Gators failed to cash only one scoring chance. Long scored two touchdowns
