Citadel Stages Rally To Crush Davidson DAVIDSON, N. c.. Oct. 6.-The Citadel spotted Davidson a two touchdown lead in the second period today, then stormed back with five scores of its own for a crushing 34–14 Southern Conference football victory. Quarterback Jack Ruth pitched touchdown passes in the first and second periods to give Davidson a commanding early lead before the tenacious Bulldogs from Charles ton, S. c.. could get their attack functioning. Once The Citadel offense began to move, Davidson was unable to cope with the many hard-running backs the visitors showed. The five Citadel touchdowns were scored by as many players.
