CAMBRIDGE, Mass, Nov. 18.- Halvard’s string of nine consecutive football setbacks, including six this season, ended today when little Carroll Lowenstein tossed two touchdown passes to give the Crimson a 14–13 triumph over Brown, another Ivy League door mat. before a paltry 1000 crowd at the stadium. Lowenstein first brought the Crimson from behind by completing a 65-yard scoring aerial to Winger Fred Ravreby late in the first quarter and, on the second play of the finale, completed a two-yarder to Gil O’Neil in the Brown end zone. Dixie Hyde’s second successful conversion clinched matters for Harvard after Right Guard Bill Rosenau had dashed the Bruin hopes during the third quarter by blocking Walt Pastuszak’ S placement try for a 14th Brown point. Brown had taken the opening kickoff and. after putting together five first downs in a row, scored when Gennaro Zeoli cli- NAKED an 80-yard drive by bang ing over from the one-yard line With less than two minutes left
