4-Touchdown Rally Fails as Brown Loses To Colgate, IS 10 81 PROVIDENCE. R. l., Oct. 28.- Browns fourth-quarter barrage of four touchdowns just fell short as Colgate held and took 1884 victory over the Bruins today before fewer than 5000 spectators. The triumph was Colgate’s fourth straight-its longest WIN ming streak since 1884. The only loss was to Army in its opener. Brown has won one, lost four. Ed Lomanto, a senior from Gloversville, N. Y, made all five of the Raiders conversions. His fifth, coming after Sam Thompsons 53-yard touchdown run, was the margin of victory. Walt Pas tuszak of North Abingdon, Mass, missed just one of his five at tempts for Brown-and he made the vital one only to have it null lifted by a penalty. He was wide on the second try. The Raiders built pass interceptions and Brown fumbles into a 28–7 third quarter lead. Ted Stratton sneaked over for one, and passed to Karl Kluckhorn for another. Brownie Palka and Bob Schirmer got the others. Brown converted a pass interception and a tumble into quick scores early in the fourth quarter. Wit Piscuskas got one on a short buck and Pastuszak ran an interception 26 yards for another. Thompson then came up with his dash. but Carl Leone paced the Bruins to two more.
