Reynolds Whole Show AS Nebraska Downs Penn State, 1910 LINCOLN, Nebr., Oct. 21.-Bot (The Rambler) Reynolds ran Penn State footsore today in Ne braska’s 10 to 0 victory before q crowd Of $4,000 fans. The sophomore sensation ran 10 yards. 26 yards and AZ yards for touchdowns. He scored one conversion, missed the two other tries. This was the third time in Ne braska’s four starts that Reynolds has scored all of his teams points. His total of u for the season to date betters any individual scoring total since 1928. The 175-pound racer scored first in the first quarter, but before Reynolds broke loose again, Ne braska was forced to make two goal line stands in protection Of that 6-point lead. The first stand was made from the Nebraska IL which Penn State had reached on a 27-yard Vince O’Bara-to-John Smidansky pass and from line smashing by Ted Shattuck. Penn State, how ever, could make only two yards in two ground plays and sur rendered the ball when two passes failed. The second stand was made in the third period when Penn State got down to the S immediately after the kickoff. Once again it was O’Bara and smidansky who did most of the dam age, completing passes for 19 and II yards, but Penn State could gain only one yard in three thrusts at the line and gave UP the ball on the 4 when a pass failed. While Penn State was making these threats, the Lions were do ing fair job of keeping Reynolds in rein. The Rambler was kept largely to short gains until he exploded again midway through the fourth period from the Penn State 26, going all the way on a zig-zag run in which his blockers were we’ll used. Again the conversion attempt was no good. About three minutes before the game ended, he capped his performance with a 42-yard sprint, marking the fourth time in four games that Reynolds has run 40 or more yards for a touchdown.
