  HANOVER, N. H., Oct. g. Their superiority as marked as their margin in points. the Dart mouth Indians opened their home football schedule today with q rousing 31–⁠7 triumph over a big but stumbling Holy Cross team. A Memorial Field crowd OF 10,861 watched the well-drilled home forces score in every period for their first victory OF the year and force the visiting Crusaders to suffer their third successive defeat. Dartmouth, which lost its opener to Penn a week ago, scored in each period and lost a shutout only because Paul Gallo, one OF many speedy Holy Cross backs, latched onto a Gil Mueller for ward and hustled it so yards into the Indian end zone soon after the start OF the f1nal perloo. The Dartmouth line not only outcharged its opposite number but time after time executed neat traps which befuddled the Cru saders and enabled the Dart mouth backs to break loose for substantial gains.
