YALE DEFEATS CARLISLE. New Haven. Conn. Nov. 10.-To the surprise Of even the most ardent OF her admirers. Yale this afternoon rolled up a score of IS points against the Carlisle Indians in the annual football contest between teams of the two institutions, while the Indians failed TO get nearer Yale’s goal than the 20-yard line. The Yale eleven played with unexpected strength and the speed and dash of the New Haven players was as remarkable as their strength Yale stock rose in the contemplation Of Yale-Harward probabilities, but experts lost no time in proclaiming that while Yale’s work today was fully equal to that OF Harvard against the same team, the In dams lacked that vigor and finish of play that characterized their five to seven teen EFFORT against the Cambridge boys. Yale’s goal line was never in danger in today’s contest.
